i'm working, i swear
my brain has told me that it's done working for the day, so i guess i have to kill the next 45 minutes catching up in blog land.
first of all, i should be betting lots of money on football this year because so far i'm 3 for 4 in my college football pool and undefeated in my nfl fantasy league. i got dragged into fantasy football at the last minute when magnum needed another player, and it has really livened up my sundays. i highly recommend it if you're not really into the nfl because it makes it way more interesting.
in other news, this past weekend my friend keljo and i went down to kc to visit my bro and catch a guster concert*. we had a really good time, and the more time i spend with my brother, the more i wish he lived closer.
this november i'm very excited to participate in my brother's second annual bacon party, bacon 2.0. last year he decided to invite about 15 of his friends over and they each had to bring a dish that contained bacon. everyone votes for most clever and most delicious recipie, and apparently there are trophies. i think last year the bacon rice krispy treats won the most clever award and the bacon-wrapped lil smokies won most delicious. if anyone has any delicious or clever bacon recipies they would like to share, i would greatly appreciate it.
oh, and a cat broke into our house and magnum has been undergoing the insane procedure that is rabies vaccination. i think there are a total of 10 shots, of which 6 are given the first night. needless to say, it has been an adventure.

Once, a squirrel broke into our house and it trying to get it out was just as fun as you can imagine it to me.
Also, I have always had a thing for bongo players.
