i'm probabaly going to curse it, but...
for the last 2 days my ipod has been on an awesome shuffle. i'm in my* "alternative" genre, and have been exceptionally pleased with mr. ipod's song selections.
i feel like i should note that i am very uncomfortable about the idea of shuffling in general. i could never put my entire itunes collection on shuffle because my brain would explode (in the bad way.) the idea of hearing ryan adam's "winding wheel" followed up by the chemical brother's "galvanize" literally makes me nauseous.
for some reason when i have my ipod set to shuffle, i feel like it's an intelligent being. like it's somehow personally selecting each song for me. in fact, i've had fights with it before when there are over 1800 songs to choose from and it only wants to play modest mouse. it reminds me of the baby beluga episode of full house. *shudder*
i don't feel that way about mr. ipod right now though. i'm very grateful for his current selections, and can only hope the good tunes continue.
*i say my alternative genre because i almost always have to go in and modify the genres of each artist. sometimes people are WAY off, even you itunes.

I really need to go in and change the genres on some, too, but I actually don't know how to do it in iTunes. I might need to ask you if I can't figure it out later....
You'd be constantly sick listening to my music...I shuffle the whole damn thing.
But why oh why does shuffle play the same songs over and over and other songs NEVER?? Isn't that the opposite of shuffle?
